| Prince St house '83- '86. We were able to purchase a run down house 'as is' on Prince St. in July 1983. It met our requirements for a larger space, more privacy, and a garage for a studio for Hisa, but it required a lot of fixing up even before we could move in. Bruce and Hisa worked hard. The floor had to be stripped of the rug the former resident left, sanded and refinished. The garage was falling down and had to be demolished. Hisa rebuilt it to be used as his studio. | |||

The house had been owned by two families who split it by floors, one living on the ground floor and the other on the upper floors. They were in feud soon after they moved and the house had not been maintained for 20 years.

The garage was falling down and had to be demolished. Dave came to help. Two concrete block walls were left and reenforced. It took three months to rebuild it.

We moven in August and brought back the house into one dwelling unit. Downstaris would be living, dining and kitchen with a bedroom attached at the back and the upper floors to be used as bedrooms.
