1. Koizumi Yakumo Kinenkan
Matsue is the location of the largest of Lafcadio Hearn museums. Hearn, "Koizumi Yakimo", met and married his wife here. His tenure sent him along the paths of interest of Japanese folk culture for which he is remembered. At this museum we learned something new to us all - of Hearn's fascination with insects.

Tamatsukuri Onsen was found in Nara period. The name Tamatsukuri comes from the area where good quality agate was mined and magatama made. It is mentioned in Makurano-soshi by Sei Shonagon.
