Visit to Mrs. Asada     Noriko visits her 97 year old family friend
Asada
Noriko's father and Mr. Asada were both interns at the Japanese embassy in Beijing, occupied China, during WW II. In 1951 when Koichi was born, Nishizawas and Asadas shared a house in Komazawa, Tokyo. At that time the vicinity was a wheatfield. The Asada's remained the Nishizawa's closest friend ever since. Of the two couples only Mrs. Asada survives. Noriko has kept faithfully in touch.

Asada was healthy and her memories still very sharp.
