At the beach these folk asked if we wanted a ride. Why not? But they were not headed back up right away. Instead we commenced a two hour reprise tour, this time far into the interior to which visitors are mostly not admitted. The roads do not extend to there. We drive up stream courses. | |||

_20mar03-1509_k.jpg Noirko had just been lifted from the truck on the back of our host driver accounting for Noriko's astonished face. The cab is very high. One of our host's grandmothers was Japanese. The sight of Noriko standing on the beach with stick must have stirred nostalgic memories.  |
